Former Chelsea star
Florent Malouda is
investing in his former
club Berrichonne de
Chateauroux and will
soon join the board of directors.
The attacker, currently with Turkish side
Trabzonspor, started his career with the
Ligue 2 side, where he made his debut at
16 and spent four years with the team
before moving on to join Guingamp and
latterly Lyon and Chelsea.
The 33-year-old had his first interaction
with the board on Saturday and will begin
to make long-term investments into the
club.
A statement on the club's official website
read: "Florent Malouda today participated
in the Board of Directors of Berrichonne de
Chateauroux, his first club to which he has
always remained very close.
"He will soon be integrated into the
management board as his career
develops. This return is a new, unique and
rare gesture of a great player going back to
where it started."
